Data must be presented using clarity, accuracy, consistency, relevance, sound evidence, and fairness. Join Kelleen Flaherty, MS, freelance medical writer and Assistant Professor at USciences, in a review of the basic tenets of critical thinking, scientific literacy, and skepticism. Learn to identify bias, prevarication, weasel-wording and a variety of logical fallacies and sharpen your evaluation and presentation skills.

About the speaker:
Kelleen Flaherty is a long-time medical writer with a background in science.  She has written on a wide variety of therapeutic topics for multiple delivery formats (eg, print, live, online, multimedia, etc).  She has written in regulatory, promotional, nonpromotional and CME, and academic (ie, peer-reviewed papers and book chapters) arenas to a variety of target audiences.  She has taught in the graduate Biomedical Writing Programs at the University of the Sciences for 15 years, and has been a member of AMWA since 1998.  She presents frequently on topics in biomedical writing.
