The awards are presented in honor of Eric W. Martin, PhD, 1971 AMWA president and author of AMWA's Code of Ethics.
Entry deadline is February 4, 2011.

Submission Criteria
- Competition is open to material written by AMWA members only.
- Written material must have been published during calendar year 2010.
- The author's name must appear in the byline of the article. If the article appears in a publication that does not normally include bylines, the author must provide a signed statement by a supervisor or editor verifying authorship.
- An award will be given in each of 2 categories:
1. Article, print or online, intended for a public or health care consumer audience
2.Article, print or online, intended for a professional (medical) audience
- Articles designed for the awarding of continuing education credit are eligible if they are published in a peer-reviewed journal.
- The following are not eligible: brochures, self-published articles, material posted on an intranet and not otherwise publicly available, and entries in medical encyclopedias, wikis, and other reference works.
- Minimum length of all articles is 500 words.
- Entries will be limited to 1 per person per category.
- A separate entry form must accompany each entry in each category.
- The entry fee of $30 US per entry must be included with the entry form.
- Five copies of each entry are required.
