Whether new to PubMed or an experienced searcher, there is always something new to learn when it comes to searching for medical information. Join a medical librarian for an overview of PubMed and its new interface, as well as tips for searching the grey literature effectively.

Learning Objectives

After participating in this webinar, participants should be able to

·         Apply field tags and Boolean operators to improve the efficiency of their searches in PubMed;

·         Understand how articles are indexed for MEDLINE using Medical Subject Headings, a.k.a. MeSH terms, and why it is important to use these terms in searches;

·         Describe methods for locating grey literature on the web, including the use of portal sites and advanced Google search techniques.
