For every friend or colleague you refer who becomes an AMWA member, you will receive a coupon code for $15 off any AMWA Online Learning activity. You will also get an entry into a drawing for a free registration for AMWA's Medical Writing & Communication Conference. The more people you refer, the more entries you get!
#1 - Send referrals online
#2 - Refer colleagues on your own
If you prefer to refer colleagues through other methods (e.g. by word of mouth), you are more than welcome to do so. As long as they list your name in the "Referred by" field when joining, you will be recorded as having referred them.
Frequently Asked QuestionsCan I refer more than one person?
You can refer as many people as you'd like! Each colleague you refer who joins AMWA entitles you to one entry into the drawing. For example, if you refer 10 people and 4 of those people join, your name will be entered into the drawing 4 times. Entries will be given only when those you refer join as a new member (professional, professional + freelance, or student) or rejoin as an expired member.
Can I refer people using both methods?
Feel free to refer colleagues in any way you choose. You can use either method #1 or method #2, or both. Any new members who are linked to your referrals will be counted towards your entry total.
How can I track my referrals?
You can track your referrals by navigating to the Manage Profile page and clicking on Refer a Friend (under "My Account History"). Anyone you have referred who joins through your direct referral link will appear here.
Please Note: This only tracks referrals sent through our online system and members who join by clicking your direct referral link. Those you refer who only list your name in the "Referred by" field will not appear, but will still be tracked by AMWA staff.
