AMWA’s Professional Member Hardship Dues Renewal Provision is for active professional members in good standing for 2 or more years whose financial circumstances have changed drastically such that they will have difficulty affording their membership renewal. The extenuating circumstances that create extreme financial hardship for members may, for example, be a result of the loss of their job or a reduction in hours/income due to a major disaster declaration in their area or a severe medical condition that has affected their ability to work. Under this provision, such a professional member would be permitted to renew their membership for 1 year at a reduced rate. If there is still a financial hardship that necessitates dues reduction after the initial renewal period, the member would need to reapply through the same procedures at the next renewal period. Please contact membership@amwa.org for more information. |
