I earned my PhD from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (University of Washington, Seattle) in Molecular and Cellular Biology and trained as a post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Genome Sciences (University of Washington, Seattle). During my academic career, I wrote abstracts, posters, PowerPoint presentations, and authored or co-authored peer-reviewed journal articles and successful grant proposals. Now, I combine my scientific expertise and love for writing to craft manuscripts that are succinct, purposeful and persuasive. To date, I have helped over 90 biomedical scientists write and edit journal manuscripts, grants, proposals, case reports, medical book chapters and PowerPoint slides. In addition, I have extensive experience working with authors for whom English is not the primary language. I have worked on a range of subject matter that includes basic and clinical research on multiple therapeutic areas and model organisms. I believe that strong science makes an impact when it is communicated in a clear and compelling manner to the appropriate target audience.
Most Recent work includes: 1. writing manuscripts for academia (journal articles) 2. grant preparation (HPTN and HVTN: Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center). 3. Book chapter (Cancer Immunotherapy: NanoString) 4. Slide Decks (Pharma)
