Harness the Power of EndNote

Harness the Power of EndNote: Manage Your Library's Data

In this interactive demonstration, watch EndNote super user Stephen Palmer, PhD, ELS, Scientific Publications Manager and Senior Scientific Medical Writer at the Texas Heart Institute, as he shows some lesser-known tips and tricks for the intermediate EndNote user.

Why?

EndNote is one of the most popular reference management platforms. It enables users to directly search online publication databases, store full-text PDFs of free and purchased articles, organize references into groups, build and format bibliographies, and network and collaborate with other EndNote users.

What?

After you complete this activity, you should be able to

  • Create Book Section references from Book references.
  • Use Find and Replace to make corrections to several references at once.
  • Ensure that corporate and group names are fully spelled out in author lists.
  • Correct supplementary page numbers that are correctly listed.
  • Ensure that EndNote properly abbreviates or spells out journal titles.
  • Create custom groups, smart groups, and new groups based on existing groups.
  • Organize groups into sets.
  • Share EndNote libraries and output styles with other users.
